The 5-ton magnetic field press is an integrated manual hydraulic powder forming equipment specially designed for laboratory use, with a maximum pressing force of 5 tons. Its frame and molds are all made of 316L non-magnetic stainless steel, which cannot be magnetized by external magnetic fields and avoids interference with magnetic field distribution.
When pressing magnetic powder, a constant external magnetic field and axial hydraulic pressure are applied simultaneously. The magnetic field first aligns the grains of magnetic powder uniformly (magnetic domain orientation), and then the 5-ton pressure compacts the powder into blanks. It produces anisotropic green compacts with superior magnetic properties, serving as essential sample preparation equipment for magnetic material research.
1. Core Application: Magnetic Powder Forming under Magnetic Field Orientation
Press magnetic powders such as NdFeB, ferrite, rare-earth permanent magnets and soft magnetic alloys into disc-shaped or cylindrical green compacts under external magnetic fields. The ordered grain arrangement significantly improves magnetic indicators including remanence and coercivity of sintered magnets.
2.Forming of Various Functional Powders under Magnetic Field
Oriented pressing of piezoelectric ceramics, magnetoelectric composite materials, superconducting materials, magnetic catalytic powders and magnetic energy storage materials.
3.Specimen Preparation for Scientific Testing
Fabricate standard test pieces for XRD diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, hysteresis loop measurement, material density testing and compression resistance tests.
4.Process Parameter Exploration for R&D
For universities and research institutes, it is used to adjust process parameters including magnetic field intensity, pressing force and holding time, providing experimental data for mass production equipment.

It can also work as an ordinary 5-ton small hydraulic press to complete conventional powder compaction without magnetic field.
